What types of travel documents should I bring? |
| |
| Let's start with the obvious. Don't forget your tickets and ID! If traveling out of the country, you should bring your valid passport for most destinations. You may not need it to get into another country, but you might need it to get back into your home country. |
| For American citizens, make sure you have your valid passport in plenty of time, and that it is valid for at least six months after your scheduled return date. Processing of applications usually takes several weeks. A link is provided on our website for passport information. Depending on the countries you may be visiting, visas may also be required. |
| If you live in the United States, but your citizenship is from another country, you must bring your Alien Registration Card as well as a valid passport with all necessary visas and photos. Check with your consulate and the consulates of the countries you will be visiting to verify any additional requirements. Please do all the checking way in advance to make sure your vacation isn't ruined before it even begins. |

What about travel to Hawaii or cruises to Alaska? |
| |
| Valid picture IDs are required at every airport, even if traveling exclusively in the United States. For cruises to Alaska, you are almost always traveling to Canada at some point during your cruise. Check the documents that are necessary, and don't forget to pack them in your hand luggage. Never pack your ID and other documentation in your checked suitcases. A valid passport is always the preferred form of ID when visiting other countries. |

What travel documentation is necessary for my children? |
| |
| Passports are required for children traveling internationally. Parents should always check to make sure they have all documents necessary for entry and re-entry into the United States, for themselves and for their children. Passports should be valid for at least six months beyond the scheduled return date. |
| For single parents traveling with children, you must bring a notarized statement from the other parent allowing you to travel outside of the country with the child. If the other parent is deceased, you will need to bring a copy of the death certificate. |
| With most cruise lines, children traveling with neither parent cannot travel unless in possession of a notarized letter of consent signed by both parents or by the legal guardian. This is also a safe practice when traveling with children on any land-based vacation. |
| Please call or E-mail Cruise and Resort if you have any questions regarding documentation. We don't want you to have any stress on your vacation! |
