What Credit Cards do you take? |
| |
| In most cases, we take every major credit card for deposits and final payments. Occasionally, some travel suppliers limit the credit cards that can be accepted, or specify certain credit cards for certain promotions. We also accept personal checks up to thirty days prior to departure date. |

When should I book my cruise? |
| |
| As early as possible! Cruises are sold on a supply and demand basis. When there is more supply, the rates are usually the lowest. The farther out you book, the more cabins are available. You can also take advantage of early-booking bonuses offered by many cruise lines. Usually, sailings can be booked at least 12-months out. The earlier you tell Cruise and Resort what you want, the more likely it is that we can get you your first choice. Once you have made final payment, your cruise rate is protected against any rate increases. |

What about "last-minute" deals? |
| |
| Sure! We've got them! We update our Red-Hot Deals nearly every day. The only big negatives about choosing your cruise or land vacation this way are that the deals may not allow you the flexibility or exact accommodations you had in mind. If you are a free-spirit with lots of flexibility, we can probably save you a lot of money! |

What other discounts are available? |
| |
| This depends on the cruise or land vacation. Different types of discounts offered by various cruise lines, hotels, and tour companies include senior discounts, early-booking discounts, past passenger discounts, family discounts, and military discounts. We also have group discounts available on 1000s of cruises. You don't have to be part of a group to take advantage of our special group rates; you just have to be a Cruise and Resort client. |
| One item of importance when it comes to discounts - at Cruise and Resort we do not hold back! You can count on us letting you know about any discounts that might be available on cruises you are interested in. We know that when we save our clients money, they come back again and again. |

I don't live by the cruise port. Do I buy my airline tickets from the cruise line or from the airline? |
| |
| All major cruise lines offer air programs to get their passengers from North American gateway cities to the port of embarkation. Sometimes these airfares are good deals, but not always. Often special airfares you can get from your departure city may be a better bargain so it is always worth comparing. |
| Many of the cruise lines now have a custom air department allowing you to custom-tailor your air schedule for an extra fee. This allows you to arrive early, depart late, or even choose a specific air carrier. The custom air basically offers more flexibility at a slightly higher price. If you simply cannot stand red-eye flights, or connections through certain cities, we highly recommend this option. |

I'd like to extend my cruise vacation at a hotel. Do you offer pre- and post cruise packages? |
| |
| Yes. Most cruise lines offer a variety of pre- and post cruise packages in first class and deluxe hotels. We take this a step further and also offer packages designed exclusively for Cruise and Resort clients. We can custom tailor your travel to reflect your own individuality. From adventure to relaxation and from foreign guides to personal butlers, we can make it happen! We have a select group of companies we work with in over 40 countries to assure you the absolute best possible experience. |

Am I allowed to cruise if I am pregnant? |
| |
| While the cruise line always has the final say, the usual rule is that you are allowed to cruise up until your third trimester. Some cruise lines will not allow you to sail if you are over 24 weeks pregnant. Others want a signed letter from your doctor stating your expected delivery date and the term of your pregnancy. This varies by cruise line and you should always check the individual cruise line's policy when planning your vacation. Of course, if air travel is also involved, it is important to also check the policy of the airline. |

What about cancellation penalties? |
| |
| They can be expensive, depending on when you cancel. After you have made final payment, the cancellation fees increase quite a bit. Near departure date, there are usually no full or partial refunds....UNLESS you have purchased travel insurance. Allow us to help you choose the best insurance for your individual needs. Please read each travel supplier's cancellation policy. Cruise and Resort will notify you with your confirmation of any additional cancellation fees charged by Cruise and Resort that pertain to your itinerary. Protect yourself and your family with travel insurance, and be sure to read the policy. |

What about travel insurance? |
| |
| We strongly recommend that our clients purchase travel insurance. First of all, and most importantly, the travel insurance we sell provides additional protection if you get ill or hurt while away. There are just some places where even a broken leg is a life-threatening injury. Our main insurance carrier provides Medi-vac coverage to get you to a quality hospital in those circumstances. Additional baggage insurance and toll-free help lines are also part of the coverage. Miss a ship due to bad weather and airline delays? Most travel insurance policies we sell cover the loss. Nearly all cancellation fees are refundable from the insurance company should you, or an immediate family member, become ill or medically unfit to travel prior to your vacation. The protection is quite inexpensive, and the peace of mind is worth a great deal. Be sure to read your policy for any limitations. |
